Summer activities
For hikers, mountain lovers, mountain bikers and water sports enthusiasts.
Europe's largest contiguous stone pine forests await you and your family
The Turracher Höhe is a true summer paradise, offering breathtaking mountain scenery and a wide range of leisure activities. Situated at an altitude of around 1,763 metres in the Nockberge mountains, this region combines the best of nature, relaxation and activity.
Here are some highlights for your summer holiday …
Breathtaking landscapes and hiking trails
Unlike almost any other region, the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve offers the opportunity to climb majestic mountain peaks without any alpine equipment: on leisurely alpine walks or on challenging mountain tours with several summit conquests in one day.
Dirty Dreams on the Turracher Höhe
A true biking dream has become reality on the Turracher Höhe high plateau: Speedsters and (flow) riders, beginners and e-bikers can look forward to an extensive and varied MTB programme. And yes, bikers can also use the lifts to get to the summits.
Alpine rollercoaster Nocky Flitzer
No question: the Nocky Flitzer is the fastest way down. Children, but also the ‘young at heart’ will get their money’s worth on our alpine rollercoaster: sweeping curves through the pine forest, roundabouts, wave tracks and jumps – the 1.6 kilometre-long route is breathtakingly beautiful and spectacular at the same time.
Clear alpine air and a head full of adventure
On a two-hour discovery tour along the AlmZeit circular trail, where exciting games and fascinating facts about time await you. Along the way, you will come across a crazy clock and hidden treasures that are ready to be unearthed and encourage you to play with time.
Introducing ...
